Let me know what you think.
Emerald City ComiCon will be the next show plus I will have some photos from this years Norwescon. Keep an eye out for those.

What's worse is that I have more work to be done. The end result is I'm going to be severely broke for a considerable amount of time so there will be fewer shows. Hard to cover a convention when you can't afford to go. This is not the end of the show, not by a long shot, but I must cutback on what I can spend since all my money is going to my dentist.
In any event,
For a $50.00 sponsorship, you or your store or website will get a special on-air hug and thanks. Not only will you get some advertising, people will know that you care about the fen community and its denizens. 100% of all proceeds will go to help out

There may be the possibility of an extended show. If all things work out I will be posting all the interviews in their entirety, not just the choicest bits.
So I leave for Denver tomorrow. Keep an eye out for more posts and episodes.

Also, the con com was way on top of almost everything. There were some major issues with housing but that was the fault of the University. The con com did everything they could to not only help resolve the issue but keep us congoers happy. The con chair Rob McDonell really put together a fantastic crew. He was also very helpful to me when I asked for interviews with some of the guests of honor. And Char and Randy McKay, the Guest Liaisons, were triply helpful and seemingly bent over backwards to help me get interviews with Timothy Zahn and Mark Ferrari.
I got a bunch of interviews with several fans as well as fan groups and a couple of dealers. I also got a great interview with Gareth von Kallenbach of Skewed & Reviewed. And the proverbial cherry on top interviews with Mark J. Ferrari, Artist Guest of Honor and Timothy Zahn (no official website), Main Guest of honor.
The first part of the show is being encoded as I post this and I will upload it as soon as it is done. I expect there to be at least 4 more parts (possibly more) as the GoH interviews were fairly involved. I am looking into hosting options so I don't have to break up the show into small parts, but that will likely have to wait until after my trip.
My next convention will be on Denvention 3 aka WorldCon 2008.

I again want to apologize for my lack of an episode, but I've been swamped with my job, plus I've been gearing up for my extended vacation where I will be hitting not one, not two, but three, yes, friends THREE conventions in a row.
First up is SpoCon, Spokane, WA resident convention. Guests of Honor include Timothy Zahn, Mark J. Ferrari, Vixy & Tony of Filkdom, Steve Perrin & John Dalmas. Hopefully I will be able to get interviews with some of them but if not, Cest la vie, there is always the congoers.
I am currently sitting in the Alaska Air Board Room. I tell ya, pretty sweet deal. Granted you have to be in first class or an MVP member to gain access, but since this three week extravaganza is doubling as my vacation, I figured it's worth it. I'm going first class travel all the way, which is good considering I really hate flying. But since I like traveling long distances in cars even more, what can I do?
I still got two hours before my plane departs. I arrived really early cause I didn't know how much of a hassle getting through security would be. It was a lot easier than I had thought it might be. I planned well ahead so that probably helped.
Bit of advice for those of you who need to fly. Check your bags wherever possible. Yes the airlines have started charging a fee per bag (though Alaska didn't), but really, unless you're traveling with a kid how much stuff could you possibly need? I brought my laptop and that was it. Of course, it's not a good idea to check your laptop anyway but still.
I had to take off my shoes and belt. The shoes weren't an issue, the belt... well lets just say I had to grab hold of my trousers to avoid some embarrassment but other than that it was smooth sailing.
Had breakfast at Wendy's. It was typical fast food fare, and cold, but I hate crowds and didn't want to fight my way back through to complain. Besides, I was damned hungry. So now here I am in the exclusive Board Room in my blue jeans and Rustycon 25 t-shirt enjoying some complementary milk. I could have gotten alcohol and I may yet, but seeing how it's just 9am as I write this, I figured, maybe wait until later.
More updates to come when I can get internet access again.

I'm trying to come up with some ideas for my next show. It will have to be a good one as it will be the last for a little while. I'm not quitting, just need to take a break whilst I travel the country and attend some very important conventions. Of course, the camera will be coming with me.
First up will be Spocon the weekend of August 1st through 3rd, then Denvention. Yes folks I'm a goin to Worldcon! My current plan for that is lots of caffiene and adrenalin. Then in mid-August I'll be heading to ArmadilloCon in Austin, Texas. May not get the chance to interview many people as I'll be working a table but I will do what I can.
Anyway, the show is up, had a lot of fun putting it together and now I'm just going to chill.
This sure as hell hasn't been my week.

I went to the Can't Stop the Serenity event hosted by the Seattle Browncoats. Can't Stop the Serenity is an international event held every June. It is a screening of the movie Serenity whose proceeds benefit a most deserving charity Equality Now. I got a chance to interview a couple fans and had a great time. I also met two guys who have their own podcast called The Movie Guys Podcast. They were also covering the event and we had a great time chatting and talking shop.
Check out their website: http://www.themovieguyspodcast.com
Unlike me who will occasionally review some movies, this is what these guys do every show so if you want to know about an upcoming movie, they're the guys to see. Scott & Matt, thanks for the shout out and plug. You have given me much needed motivation to get my business cards updated. LOL

Took this test and look how nasty I am!
Your result for The What Middle Earth race do you belong to Test...
Nazgûl

You scored average in size, low in morality, high in aggression and high in intelligence, which are all qualities that you seem to share with the Black Riders of Middle Earth. Oh, and you're most likely male. Once great kings of men, Sauron seduced them through avarice and they're now slaves to his will. Which is not to say that YOU are a slave to someones will but hey, it could happen. Just be extra careful if you meet someone on the street that seems extra charming and offers you a trinket that he says will make you really powerful, okay?
FYI, your polar opposite is the Ent.

So this week's episode is late and for that I am both ashamed and apologetic. My so called real life intruded rather rudely, but what can you do. Got to pay the bills somehow. I was going to show you clips from a panel I ran at C-Cubed (aka ConComCon) unfortunately my camera decided that it was going to eat the footage. It's a digital camera, not tape or discs to eat, yet the footage was eaten anyway. What really sucks is that I didn't get any back up audio cause I'm still getting used to my new audio recorder and had it on the wrong input setting. Gods I'm such a doof!
So instead of thought provoking and intelligent discussion on con running, I will be giving you Con-Libs(tm). Katrina Marier took some of the Norwescon rules and contracts and turned them into mad-libs. At the C-Cubed ice breaker, we all sat around and did a couple and this is what we came up with. The show should be up soon.
